job
I really need a job. These last couple of weeks have been tough. I have been on the internet going to random places and I still do not have a trabajo. I was so close to being the maintenance guy for an upscale apartment complex. I was literally hired if I was not going to school. There was a moment in my head where I just wanted to tell the guy I was going to drop out. The job offered a very nice 2 bedroom apartment for free plus 9 dollars an hour forty hours a week. This would have been a dream. My dream was crushed as soon as he found out I am a full-time student. I also almost got a job at a gas station by my present apartment. They ended up hiring a girl who used to work for them. Although, there is still a shot for the gas station. I just found out they will be hiring one more person. I also am looking into a golf course job in town there is a slight possibility there. I filled out an application for Oklahoma State as well to be a custodian. All I know is that I extremely need a job and I need one fast. If anyone has any ideas please send them my way. I think I am gonna try walmart today.

Mike Gundy
Mike Gundy has recieved the Paul "Bear" Bryant College Award. This award is given out by the National Sportscasters Association. Mike Gundy truly deserves this award in my opinion. Mike Gundy inspired all of Oklahoma State this last season with his charasmatic coaching abilities. Coach Gundy believed in Oklahoma State and in himself. This attitude was apparent everytime he took his team onto the field. Dynamic play calling and knowlege of the game as well as a few super star players took Oklahoma to it's first BCS title game victory. Mike Gundy has recently signed a contract to stay at Oklahoma State for 8 more years a decision we all here in Stillwater highly incline him to do. I am sure he will continue to awe and astound us with his insight for years to come.

Tennis
I have been playing tennis for fifteen years. I started playing as soon as I could hold a racket. Right now the australian open is going on. This is one of my favorite tournaments because it is blue court and the ball travels faster and spin is more of a factor. I topspin is one of my favorite styles of hitting. The ball will be more likely to get in and when it bounces up it is more difficult to return. The slice is also a very important shot on the blue court. Slice is more of a defensive shot to slow down the speed of the point, but slice can also be offensive as a drop shot or to put extreme brush on the ball so when it bounces on the other side of the court it will undoubtedly change position after the bounce. My serve would have to be one of my strengths. When I am on my serve is very fast and accurate. This is just a small amount of what I love about tennis.

MLK
Monday is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This day means so much to the African American community. He symbolizes a movement forward for the greater good of mankind. Dr. King faced descrimination and stood up for what is right. He believed everyone was created equal an we all must respect and honor eachother. Today his work has been proven in that we no longer seperate from black and white even the latin community benifited from Dr. King. There is still ignorance out there. I think we should all be kind to eachother and listen to his teachings and reflect upon ourselves.
